Our Founder

 

Cian Farrell is a Lecturer in Structural Engineering and works as part of research groups that focus on Engineering Education, Structural Timber Engineering, Structural Steel Engineering, and Sustainability. He also works as a Structural Engineer where he has held a key role in projects such as Ceannt Station Galway (re-development) and TU Dublin West Quad. Cian is a Full Member of the IstructE’s Young Member Panel and holds a key interest in the Design & Analysis of complex structures, Environmental Protection & Sustainability, Arbitrary Law and Entrepreneurship.

  • ‘Outstanding Steel Building Design’ Award from the Institute of Structural Engineers & Imperial College London for the Design and Analysis of a 60 story prestigious office development situated in the London Docklands as part of his Masters of Engineering.

  • The Golden Medal for Academic Excellence in the Final year of a Bachelor (Honors) of Structural Engineering.

  • Structures Congress 2020 (World Engineering Conference) - Invited as a guest speaker for research carried out on cutting edge, new engineering material.

  • Global Undergraduate Award for the research carried out as part of the Bachelor degree.
